SPYDER CUP IS BIGGER AND BETTER IN 2008
Spyder Cup has come to Baltic States.
A lot of paintball players already heard, that in the United States exist Spyder Cup tournament series www.spyder.tv, were winners received as a prize – Hummer H2.
But, unfortunately, it concerned European market just a little. The main sponsor of this tournament - Company KINGMAN Group well known as Spyder markers manufacturer, until recently was not especially interested about European market. However everything changes in this world. At last, KINGMAN has decided seriously to undertake European paintball market. As the first trial step KINGMAN offers this year as a test regional series in format SPYDER CUP in Baltic States.
For supporting this tournament, only from the Main Sponsor – KINGMAN, is allocated more than 5000 Euro, considerably big prize fund for so small region.
There were also shown interest to BALTIC SPYDER CUP by other paintball equipment and paint manufacturers. So the second sponsor of a series will be the paint manufacturer – company RPS, well known by local consumer with such paint, as Combat, All Star, Marballizer, Evil.
As a result local players will have an opportunity to participate in qualitative, but inexpensive for participants sports tournament series with unprecedented prizes for local tournaments. A series promises to become mass and popular, thus having kept the sports spirit inherent for greater sports tournaments. Not a secret, that recently paintball industry have lost many players because of unreasonably evolved charges, especially on huge quantity of shot paint, basically because of markers speed, high cost of the equipment and expensive payments on participation in tournaments. In this situation BALTIC SPYDER CUP may become excellent inexpensive alternative.
Baltic Spyder Cup 2008 will hold four regional paintball events, by one in each Baltic country (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) and Baltic Spyder Cup 2008 Grand Finale hosted in Riga, Latvia.
The winning team from each of these four events will be awarded by excellent prizes from organizers (medals) and from sponsors (Goggles, Loaders, Paint and clothes). Baltic Spyder Cup 2008 Grand Finale winners will receive special prizes from Main sponsor – KINGMAN. All players from the best final teams will get superior Spyder markers:
1st place – Spyder MR3
2nd place – Spyder MR2
3rd place – Spyder MR1
Spyder Cup –is an amateur paintball tournament with very accessible charges for participants and conditions of participation in a format 3-man (3 players in a team). Central Flag and with the rules a little bit differing from already common known Centurio or Millennium rules. The motto of the Series is "Paintball in masses ".
In the American version all the teams are playing with Spyder markers only. However in Baltic Spyder Cup 2008 series it will be allowed to use a marker of other manufacturers, although for a higher entry fee.
Soon we learn more in detail about dates and places of carrying out of stages of this series and conditions of participation.
