Marcus Rashford says the England squad heading to the World Cup under Gareth Southgate are far more settled than that which Roy Hodgson took to the European Championships two years ago.
Euro 2016 ended with one of the darkest days for England at major championships, losing to Iceland, a game in which Rashford made a late appearance.
The Manchester United maxbet forward made a late run into the national side ahead of the tournament in France, while there was plenty of debate around which shape Hodgson was to deploy and whether or not the likes of Wayne Rooney would feature.
Under Southgate, who has stuck to a three at the back system since qualification was secured, there seems a difference though, and Rashford says the side have come a long way.
"It's definitely a different sort of vibe,” Rashford told ESPN.
“You're a bit more prepared individually but also as a team as well, a bit more relaxed and going maxbet into the tournament we're more clued up about what we need to do individually and as a team.
"It wasn't a late call-up [two years ago] but everything happened quite fast. It feels normal now. It's better for me because I'm more ready than I was then. maxbet
