This summer, I had the opportunity to drive across the country, from North Carolina to Colorado. My husband and I have never lived outside of the 2-hour drive from Charlotte to Raleigh, and we decided it was time to experience somewhere new. We chose Colorado Springs.
We packed our house into a 26’ U-Haul, loaded our dog and five chickens into the Toyota, and set out for the Rockies. With the help of our adult daughters, we drove over 1,700 miles and more than 26 hours over a three-day period.
